Do you have an elephant at work?

Do you have an elephant at work? Are there challenges and projects that you know need to be streamlined, but you already have too much to do to conquer them?

Being an Executive Assistant has its challenges. In addition to being a mom you still have to make sure your boss arrives at his/her meetings on time, reports are produced and printed, notes are typed, voice messages and emails are answered, calendars are updated…the list can go on and on.

Recently my job description has expanded with even more duties and expectations than before. So, I began a quest… a quest for information on how to streamline these responsibilities while becoming more efficient. The goal is to work smarter, not harder…right?

As I lay in bed and the processes began running thru my head of the daily assignments for the upcoming week, I finally gave in, got up, and started the research process. I found these great sites with a lot of helpful information.Thought I would share:

Executive Assistant Tips  There are some great tips in this hub, especially the calendar ideas for sharing and meetings that I will explore and let you know my thoughts later. If you use the ScheduleOnce Personal Edition already, feel free to leave me a message on your thoughts about this Google program.

Another site that I found was Technology Teacher  This blog has some great ap ideas for your smart phone. From voice commands to recipes, it seemed to cover alot of the topics that I deal with on a daily basis. Working Smarter, Not harder…is the idea…right?

I also found this great site for scheduling meetings..Elephants at work (don’t you just love the name!) There are all sorts of ideas and programs for scheduling meetings with people from different organizations. It is a great resource and they have a FB page you can follow as well.

I hope some of these ideas help you, they have helped me. Executive Moms have it tough, they have to juggle not only their own schedule, their husbands, children’s AND their boss’s schedules. Any shortcuts, ideas or ways to trim down that elephant called “work” is a good thing and helps us to make more of those moments that are important with our own family. I hope these tips can help some of you. Would love to hear your feedback!

Be Blessed,

Executive Mom
